How are Latex Mattresses Made?

Latex mattresses are made using sap from rubber trees; there are 2 methods. The Dunlop Method consists of removing the sap, whipping it until it achieves the consistency of foam, pouring it into a specially designed mold, and then baking it so it will hold its shape. The Talalay Method is similar to the Dunlop Method, except it’s not baked. Instead, the mold is completely covered and sealed so the air can be removed, which allows for even distribution. The latex foam is then frozen and reheated, which creates the mattress.
